Description:

The Masters’ Specialization “Experimental and Clinical Neurosciences“ – ECN - was established as an international M.Sc. degree at the University of Regensburg in 2006. Recently, it has been integrated into our international MSc Biology as a specialization, increasing flexibility and options for our students.

So, as a Bachelor student interested in Neurosciences - what can you expect in the wonderful Bavarian city of Regensburg, close to the Blue Danube?

The main features of the ECN specialization start with “I”:
International, Interdisciplinary and Inspiring.

International: Over the years, approximately 50 % of our students have been coming from outside Germany, from all corners of the world: Asia, Africa, North and South America, Europe and Australia.

Interdisciplinary: The programme focusses on the link between experimental and clinical neurosciences. Thus, whether your background is in biology, biochemistry, or biomedicine, you will be welcome. Here, you will receive theoretical and practical education in a wide range of neuroscientific topics.

Inspiring: It is our aim to provide you with a broad overview in order to enable you to find the research questions that excite you the most. There also is reciprocal inspiration: We find it extremely rewarding and motivating to witness the incredible progress of our students during the 2 years of the programme. Most of them continue into a PhD thesis.
